B.Thompson ‎– Love. Funk. Happiness. (2017)

The truly unstoppable Diggy Down Recordz are back at with their next CD release that we wanna talk about. They already worked with the American singer B.Thompson on his “For The Love” album which was 1st release of this label and now they release his new album “Love. Funk. Happiness.” marking it the label’s 9th CD release.

Overall, it’s a bright and light (like it’s cover) disco/boogie/funk album that’s really hard not to like or wanna bump in your speakers. It’s a massive album of 19 tracks produced by DJ Ness D, Funkastic, Goz, Greg Doggett of The Doggett Brothers, M.Fasol, MellowNightz, Sergio “DOC” Barone, Tesla55, Tuomo Beats, Tyler Smith , Wadz and T-Groove (whose album Move Your Body was the previous CD release on Diggy Down.

G-Wax Le Parano G ‎– Southside (2017)

September 15th brought to us some real good news: after some delay the album “Southside” by G-Wax Le Parano G was finally released in CD format: 18 tracks produced by Tony Beatmaker, Funklord Production, G-Neg, Dorsey Sick Joker, Sam-G, J-Box & G-Wax himself. A few songs of the album were flavored by Talkbox by Wadz, Hic Box & Sly Box.  All in all, if you like dope French Gangsta rap / G-Funk, then this album is for you. Check out three videos at the bottom of this post & just see for yourself if you really wanna sleep on this tight G-Funk stuff.

Joh Joh Music ‎– Good Times Album (2017)

Joh Joh Music is a G-Funk poducer/beatmaker from Strasbourg, France and frankly speaking we didn’t really hear much about him until recently when he hit us with the news about his “Good Times Album” release on September 2nd, 2017. This album is the perfect combination of dope g-funk tracks with some tight guest appearances such as OG Daddy V, Big2DaBoy, Sylk-E Fyne, Rekta, Mofak, Quictamac, Big Prodeje, Loesta, Havikk, WestCoast Stone, Von Jackson, Pimp Counsel, Hic Box, Mr. Enois Scroggins & others.

Driver ‎– Maintenant Je Suis Chaud (2017)

Driver, a French rapper from Sarcelles city, has been in the rap game since quite a long time with a quite a few releases behind his back. This years he’s back with his new EP “Now I’m Hot” (if translated from French) that was released in CD format on his own “Allmade” record label, and it’s the perfect result of the collaborative effort of Driver and Crapulax (the French producer): all the tracks were written, produced and recorded within a week as they both hit the studio and “cooked” all the bangers together.

Apparently it’s one the hottest CD’s out of France this year so far and is very solid work by both the rapper & producer. The BREED ‎– Sexbox (August 4th, 2017)

It took 11 months for The BREED to release his 2nd album since his dropped his debut “The Beauty and The Breed” on September 4th, 2016. For those who don’t know yet, The BREED is the German beatmaker & talkboxer, and now he’s back with his 2nd release shortly called “Sexbox”. Though we haven’t got a chance to listen to the whole album yet, but based on the first album and new video clips which you can watch below, it’s close to impossible to refuse to peep inside the “Sexbox”.

Ridaz & Mister C ‎- Ça Tise Mais Ça Taff (2017)

Already somewhat known in the underground rap scene featuring on different projects, Mr. Ridaz & Mister C teemed up to work on the the collabo album Ça Tise Mais Ça Taff / We Drink But We Work, which they released independently, without a support of any label or distribution company.

As both of them rapping on the album, Mister C also handled all the production on it. This album literally “features no featurings” at all (they even produced this album by themselves) which is pretty rare in g-funk, especially, nowadays. This is type of g-funk music that you may feel like listening to any time of year and leave you in a careless uplift mood.

Mastered by Hic Box, the sound quality of the whole album is high enough to guarantee ya’ll remain satisfied, especially those who care about it (sound quality).

The album was released in CD format on July 14th, 2017. While the CD’s have been sold predominantly on the streets of France (like back in the days), the hardcopies are available @ Mr.Ridaz Official Site and shipping worldwide.
