New vinyl releases on Dogg Master’s More Bounce Records

More Bounce Records have recently dropped 2 nice vinyls which we are obliged to mention here on our blog. First, it’s West Coast Lovin’ is the long-awaited 12″ Maxi from Fevah, an American female singer from Los Angeles, CA. It came out on 28th Dec 2017 and contains 4 tracks, one being the original version (composed by Dogg Master & Mofak) and the other – remix (produced by Dogg Master), with both instrumentals respectively. Both versions feature talkbox by Dogg Master.

While working on his next solo album, Dogg Master keeps his fanbase ‘warm’ enough and longing for it by having dropped 7″ with the tracks that will be featured on the album. This time, he teamed up with long-time partner Busta Brown to create “Body Therapy“, the dance-floor slapper on which Dogg Master played talkbox and Busta Brown – vocoder. Pre-orders have been opened with its release date on 26th Feb 2018.

Both records are available @ DOGG MASTER’S BANDCAMP as well as his previous CD & vinyl releases.

Jovan ‎– Not Made For These Times (14 Feb ’18)

Right on the Valentine’s Day, Diggy Down Recordz is coming up with a gift, the album by Jovan Benson, an American singer, songwriter, producer & song arranger from Vallejo, CA. After a year and a half in the making, Jovan finally release his album “Not Made For These Times” as a collection of 17 songs written by him & composed by various producers including Djay Ness D & Goz (of The Touch Funk), Sick-So aka Sovan, Wadz, T-Groove, etc. with 9 songs produced/co-produced by Jovan himself. It’s a perfect album for all the disco/boogie/funk/soul lovers, with nice soulful vocals & well-crafted music.

It’s not the first time that we hear Jovan on Diggy Down: he was previously featured on this label’s releases: Rene Rose‎ – Funky Attitude (2016) & T-Groove ‎– Move Your Body (2017).

LIL’GEE ‎– L.A.mentaires Tracks (15th Jan 2018)

After a good ending of the year 2017 (Scrooge – Ghetto Gospel), we got here a real dope start of the New Year with the CD release of “L.A.mentaires Tracks” by Lil’Gee, an independent rapper from Rouen city, located in Normandie/France. He started rapping in 1996 with his cousin Don Kroozz, and in 1998 there were joined by Mou2s. In 2000, he decided to leave the band and began his solo career. “L.A.mentaires Tracks” album is basically a compilation of songs made between 2001 and 2017 with some of the songs recorded live. Lil’Gee himself played many instruments on this album (keyboard, bass, etc.) except for the guitars, which were played by Xtophe «Artech Xtudio» and Pierre Loiseau.

Being inspired by G-Funk Classics with influences of Californian rock, it turns out to be an extremely dope & laidback g-funk album with a lot of live instruments played on it.

Highly recommended by G-Funk.WS

U can order a CD hardcopy from Jean Baptiste Elie aka Lil’Gee by writing him a PM on Facebook

Scrooge – Ghetto Religion (2017)

Amos Moore IV, the g-funk genius, rap artist & producer from Tacoma, WA, known to many g-funk heads as Scrooge finally has recently come back with his long-awaited 3rd album “Ghetto Religion”. Though it’s been 10 years since he dropped his 2nd album called “Ride Wit Me”, it was well worth the wait because his new album ain’t nuthin’ but pure g-funk dope, which we all been waiting for so long!

He worked on this album about a year perfecting it in each and every way, with all the 9 tracks produced by Scrooge himself. On the album he got help of some nice vocal singers including his long-time companion LaKesha Edwards, and Robert Jordan on the guitars. What we try to say that this album was made with top quality: recording, mastering, pressing – we absolutely recommend this A+ release.

You can cop this album in CD format or digital @ store.cdbaby.com delivered worldwide.

NNP – Resurrection (2017)

NNP (New Nuclear Power) is the legendary Jazzy hip-hop / G-Funk group from Slovakia has been well known to some true hip-hop heads as they have been active since early 90’s and until their disbanding in 2000. During that period they dropped a number of CD / vinyl singles and the full-length album “Everydaylife$tyle” (CD’s & tapes) on BMG Ariola in 1997. Though, not many people know that they worked on and recorded their 2nd album in 1999-2000 but it was shelved due to the group break-up soon after they finished working on that album. So, today, right on the G-Funk.WS 7 Year Anniversary, we are pleased to announce the release of NNP’s 2nd album “Resurrection” in CD format, in connection with Invizzible Music (Slovakia). It includes all original studio recordings with no sound degradation for all y’all audiophiles down with us.

On this album you find 11 tracks predominantly produced by DJ K.I.P., a kind of Jazzy Hip-Hop & G-Funk fusion, so nicely blended for your listening pleasure that one might get left with a feeling that he wants to spin the CD one more time in a row. Another lost gem to your collection, plus, for the people who listen hip-hop only in English, it might be a surprise that mostly this album contains English language, NNP did the most records in it back in the days, so you will understand the most part of the lyrics.

You can order this album in CD and digital format @ G-Funk.WS Official Bandcamp but make sure not to take your time as the pressing is limited to 300 copies worldwide. Once again, no bullshit CD-R’s, nice design and artwork layout by Marina Sparrow. We do only quality stuff for y’all…7 years already!
