Some of ya’ll might have already heard Pimp Counsel on Joh Joh Music – Good Times Album (released in 2017), where they had 4 tracks on it. An American rap duo Pimp Counsel consists of King Kane Slimm & Caddi Mane. Hailing from the crime ridden streets of Flint (MI), it was rumored a couple of street Pimps had a Natural Gift of Gab. They preach pimp principles in a harsh and poetic term they refer to as Pimp-Hop. No wonder that they were discovered by Tweed Cadillac of Penthouse Players Clique.
This time they came with an album titled We The Pimpsfully produced by Joh Joh Music from France. Consisting of 21 tracks, this album is a pleasurable listen overall with all the pimpish stories by King Kane Slimm & Caddi Mane. It features such guest OG Daddy V, Enois Scroggins, Hic Box (talkbox), Bootz Rothchylde, Fleetwood Tha Fool, URG7 and others.
Joh Joh Music is a G-Funk poducer/beatmaker from Strasbourg, France and frankly speaking we didn’t really hear much about him until recently when he hit us with the news about his “Good Times Album” release on September 2nd, 2017. This album is the perfect combination of dope g-funk tracks with some tight guest appearances such as OG Daddy V, Big2DaBoy, Sylk-E Fyne, Rekta, Mofak, Quictamac, Big Prodeje, Loesta, Havikk, WestCoast Stone, Von Jackson, Pimp Counsel, Hic Box, Mr. Enois Scroggins & others.
One of our most favorite labels, Diggy Down Recordz, has been really active recently relentlessly dropping some real nice vinyl and CD releases. This time they’re back at it with a highly anticipated debut full-length album by the Japanese disco icon, T-Groove aka Yuki Takahashi. It’s like his album title “Move Your Body” is trying to hint that it’s all about disco music, and it’s really the case! The album is 70 minutes long and densely packed up with modern disco joints that would be perfect for any disco party or dance floor. T-Groove produced tracks feature guests like B.Thompson, Winfree, Diane Marsh, Leon Beal, Enois Scroggins, The Precious Lo’s, Jovan, Sammy and others.
Pre-orders have already started @ DIGGY DOWN RECORDZ WEBSITE where you can also listen to the albums trailer (after hitting the play button beside the respective album pic). The orders will be shipped from France worldwide.
While having more projects in the works, the French label, Diggy Down Recordz, is dropping the much anticipated album by the International Funk legend from Tulsa, Oklahoma – Enois Scroggins. This time, accompanied by his long time partners, The Touch Funk, the producers’ group from France, currently comprising of Djay Ness D & Goz. They should have known each so well so it seems like all this collabo album came out naturally, with Enois singing perfectly fit on The Touch Funk – produced music.
No need to wring long and use some complicated words and sentences about this amazing album but to listen to its trailer below and we’re pretty much positive that all the funk heads find something for themselves so it will help persuade ya’ll to buy the album & add to your collection.
The album is available for Pre-Order thru DIGGY DOWN RECORDZ WEBSITE as well as the stylish merchandise (snapbacks and t-shirts). The official release date is 15th March 2017, however, the CD’s are already in stock & ready to ship soon so there’s no need to wait for the release to place your order!
Most probably, Fonkfatherz Records decided not to give their supporters a break and just recently came up with one more release – this time it’s the full-length album “Odyssée“ by a French rapper ReemK80. His musical inspiration has been derived from Funk, French rap, hip-hop from New York to LA, but also from electro (especially Trip- Hop & Deep House) and world music such as Bossa Nova and oriental music. The favourite topics of ReemK80 are mainly social, where he addresses society and human relationships, navigating between melancholy and conviction. The album consists of 17 tracks (inc. one bonus track) and features the productions by Wadz and Rol.K.
