VS Productions: Saint Quentin Chroniques (2018)

There’s really no need to introduce Sovan aka Sick–So-Vizz (a French producer) to many of you, though he might be also known for some of you as one half of VS Productions. Being a native of Saint Quentin commune in France, he decided to record a compilation with the French artists who came from the same area in France: Saint Quentin Chroniques. It turned out to be a dope 15-song compilation album solely produced by Sovan.

It’s been released in CD format, with the discs housed in cardboard sleeves, however they’re the real pressed CD’s. Peep the album teaser below and go to Sick-So-Vizz Bandcamp for your digital or hardcopy shipped anywhere in the world by the artist himself. Marking it the 11th CD release, the “unstoppable” Diggy Down Recordz label released today Mr. Skinny ‎- Uncharted Waters (Trey Way), their first ever G-Funk album. Mr. Skinny is a west coast rapper from Paramaunt, CA. He grew up playing drums in church at 5 years old. Since music had a special place in his heart, he started rapping, scratching records, writing songs and singing in a church choir at a young age. He literally tried it all, but now, as he got himself developed into a rap artist, he tries not to sound like everyone, which his rap influences are 2Pac, NWA, Ice Cube, Scarface, Nas…

On this album, he wrote lyrics to all his verses and also produced 5 tracks out of total 12, while other tracks were produced by Wadz, 310 Prophet, Dreamer Beats, James Tambiance, Tyler Smith, Saoul Assassin, Lil K. It also features  Jovan, B. Thompson, Lil K (talkbox), Michelle, RJ, Gil Masuda of The Precious Lo’s, Qaq.

Pimp Counsel ‎– We The Pimps (2018) CD

Some of ya’ll might have already heard Pimp Counsel on Joh Joh Music – Good Times Album (released in 2017), where they had 4 tracks on it. An American rap duo Pimp Counsel consists of King Kane Slimm & Caddi Mane. Hailing from the crime ridden streets of Flint (MI), it was rumored a couple of street Pimps had a Natural Gift of Gab. They preach pimp principles in a harsh and poetic term they refer to as Pimp-Hop. No wonder that they were discovered by Tweed Cadillac of Penthouse Players Clique.

This time they came with an album titled We The Pimps fully produced by Joh Joh Music from France. Consisting of 21 tracks, this album is a pleasurable listen overall with all the pimpish stories by King Kane Slimm & Caddi Mane. It features such guest OG Daddy V, Enois Scroggins, Hic Box (talkbox), Bootz Rothchylde, Fleetwood Tha Fool, URG7 and others.

DJ K.I.P. – I Don’t Sell Beatzz (2018)

We know some of you have been already waiting for these hardcopies to drop, so here you go, DJ K.I.P. finally released his long-awaited album “I Don’t Sell Beatzz” in Double CD format, limited edition of 500 copies / digipaks. Being a Double CD album, it contains 24 songs: 13 new tracks + new remixes & special bonus tracks. DJ K.I.P. worked on this album from 2015 to December 2016, and definitely put all his soul and heart in it, his “dream of life time career”. Released on DJ K.I.P.’s own Invizzible Music Label, the album was awarded by Akademia Music Awards as Best Rap / Hip Hop album July 2017. This album includes the most respectful and best selling JP artists, it was produced by targeting Japanese market. Daz Dillinger – Dazamataz (2018) Double CD

It’s been a while when DAZ dropped an album, but it was worth waiting as he’s just come back with his new album “DAZAMATAZ” that he first released in digital. It’s a 30-songs album with almost all the tracks produced by DAZ himself assisted by Ivan Johnson, Amplified, Soopafly and Carlos McSwain. It sounds like a solid album from DAZ DILLINGER with some dope featurings, and it’s a real pleasure to listen to it though it might seem a bit long. In any case, he doesn’t drop albums every year so the fact that this album is long enough sounds more like a merit to his fans.

New vinyl releases on Dogg Master’s More Bounce Records

More Bounce Records have recently dropped 2 nice vinyls which we are obliged to mention here on our blog. First, it’s West Coast Lovin’ is the long-awaited 12″ Maxi from Fevah, an American female singer from Los Angeles, CA. It came out on 28th Dec 2017 and contains 4 tracks, one being the original version (composed by Dogg Master & Mofak) and the other – remix (produced by Dogg Master), with both instrumentals respectively. Both versions feature talkbox by Dogg Master.

While working on his next solo album, Dogg Master keeps his fanbase ‘warm’ enough and longing for it by having dropped 7″ with the tracks that will be featured on the album. This time, he teamed up with long-time partner Busta Brown to create “Body Therapy“, the dance-floor slapper on which Dogg Master played talkbox and Busta Brown – vocoder. Pre-orders have been opened with its release date on 26th Feb 2018.
